Introduction

The Faculty of Humanities offers IT-support for all academic staff in various forms. Highly qualified staff of the department of Information Management can help you out in various stages of your research project or programme. They are there to answer technical questions you may have about hardware, software, databases etc. They can also give you advice on which hardware best to buy for your research purposes. Moreover, the University IT department (ISSC) offers a wide range of software that can be installed as "extra's" on your PC. We are fully aware of the fact that the list of software can never be long enough, and will never suit everyone's needs. Should you need something that is not offered, then please do not "just manage" or "hack something with the help of a fellow PhD student. Just call of e-mail us and we will do our utmost to get you started with the tools you need.

Below is a list of services offered. Should you need something else, then please do not hesitate to contact us anyway. We are in the process of developing new initiatives, and in any case, may be able to offer a custom solution, or make a case for extension of the standard IT services based on the demand we experience.
