C. T. (Tineke) Rooijakkers obtained an MPhil in Archaeology at Leiden University and is now a PhD student at the Leiden Institute for Religious Studies (Leiden University) and an associate of the Textile Research Centre (Leiden, the Netherlands). She has studied textile production techniques in Egypt and the Middle East, but her main interest is dress and identity. She is currently writing a dissertation on religious identity and dress among the Copts in the past and present.
