Vacancy student assistant Philosophy & Social Media
Would you like to be involved in developments at the Institute for Philosophy, in particular the new English-taught Bachelor's programme Philosophy: Global and Comparative Perspectives? Do you have plenty of ideas to involve your (prospective) fellow students in the programme and in a lively (online) community? Are you good at using Social Media effectively and are you a good writer? Then you might be the student assistant the Institute for Philosophy is looking for!
There are two interesting positions available which you can easily combine with your Philosophy studies. For the following position English is the working language, for the other position fluency in Dutch is needed.
Position: Social Media and more – BA Philosophy
In cooperation with the quartermaster, you reach out to and inform prospective students for the new BA Philosophy: Global & Comparative Perspectives, primarily via social media but also by providing support for the Online Experience or showing interested (international) students around.
Both positions would start per 1 January 2017, each for 0.1 fte (3.8 hours per week). These could be merged into one 0.2 fte position. The one year appointment starts with a probationary period of a month. Working days are flexible and there is a desk available at the Institute for Philosophy. You will be paid according to the standard for student assistants in the Collective Labour Agreement of the Dutch Universities.
You match the profile for these positions if you:
- Are a BA or MA student in Philosophy (first year completed) holding a EU/EEA passport
- Have experience with effectively using social media
- Have good social and communicative skills
- Are independent but a team player as well
- Are able to write in a concise and inspiring way
- Show initiative and are creative and flexible
- Are available until 1 January 2018
