Abstract
I'll present a problem that has received a lot of attention in epistemology lately, the problem of peer disagreement. The question is: how should you change your belief in p if someone disagrees with you about p who you justifiably take to have the same evidence about p, and who you justifiably take to be equally competent at evaluating that evidence? The 'conformists' argue that you should significantly reduce your confidence in p. The 'non-conformists' argue that you can, under various circumstances, stick to your original view. I'll present some of the arguments and some ideas for approaching the problem.
