Research

My research focuses on the analysis and evaluation of argumentative strategies in various settings. My dissertation concerned the use and rhetorical advantages of pragmatic arguments in health communication. I have also published on argumentative strategies in, for example, direct-to-consumer advertising, the use of stylistic devices, and on the analysis of strategic manoeuvring.

Teaching activities

The courses I give are on pragmatics, argumentation theory, rhetoric, and writing skills.
