French literature, especially classic theater
I finished a PhD (cotutelle Sorbonne-Leiden) in September 2010 about the reception of Voltaire's theater in the Netherlands during the 18th century. I am still working on this subject.

Dr. Marjolein Hageman is an instructor of French. She comes from Paris and has dual nationality (Dutch and French). She studied French grammar and literature at the Sorbonne where she did a master's thesis entitled: Voltaire, La Tolérance et les Pays-Bas (Voltaire, Tolerance and the Netherlands). She has obtained a Teacher's Certificate and taught a few years French near Paris. She is actually teaching French and French literature in Middelburg at Roosevelt Academy (University college from Utrecht). She studied and played theater in France (10 years), Cambridge (1 month), Leiden-Amsterdam (1 year), and Florence.
In September 2010, she obtained her doctorate in French literature. Her PhD thesis is entitled La Réception du théâtre de Voltaire dans les Provinces-Unies au XVIIIème siècle (The Reception of Voltaire's Theater in the Netherlands during the XVIIIth century) for the Sorbonne and Leiden University.
