Fields of interest
Anglo-American fantastic fiction from the eigtheenth-century to the present (gothic, horror, science fiction); ecocriticsm in theory and practice; ecopsychology; philosophies of magic and the supernatural; the history of popular culture genres.
Favourite authors: Daniel Defoe, Ann Radcliffe, William Godwin, Charles Brockden Brown, Edward Bulwer Lytton, Nathaniel Hawthorne, H.G. Wells, Clifford Simak, Shirley Jackson, Ursula Le Guin, Theodore Roszak, Peter Marshall, Stephen King.
Favourite filmmakers: Val Guest, Robert Wise, Roger Corman, George Romero, John Carpenter, Alex Cox.
Favourite stars: Vincent Price and Alice Cooper.
