Philip Angel’s Deex-Autaers: Vaisnava mythology from manuscript to book market in the context of the Dutch East India Company, c. 1600-1672.  

This book is the fifth volume of the Dutch Sources on South Asia book series published by Manohar in New Delhi.  


Current project

Carolien’s doctoral thesis is entitled ‘Situating Asia in India: Nationalism and Internationalism 1919-1947’ and supervised by Prof. H.W. van den Doel (University of Leiden) and Prof. H. Fischer-Tiné (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology, Zurich). The dissertation is a study of (Pan)Asianist thought and initiatives in India, with a strong focus on the interwar years.
