QS Rankings place Leiden's Humanities at European top
The 2011 QS World University Rankings for Arts & Humanities place Leiden University's Humanities Faculty among the best in the world and at the top in continental Europe.
Leiden University performs well in QS World University Rankings. In 2010 it was ranked 82nd in the world and 15th in continental Europe. The Humanities Faculty fared better still, ranked 38th in the World and 8th in Continental Europe. The results show that academics rank Area Studies, English and History at Leiden University as the best in continental Europe. Linguistics came in at third and Modern Languages 12th.
