Humanities Career Event 2015 was a great success

The 28th edition of the Humanities Career Event took place on April 9, 2015. It was a great success, and more students than ever attended the event.

Opening, lunch and information market

The day started with an opening speech by the dean. A delicious lunch followed. During this lunch students could get information on internships, extra activities for students and they could even let a professional photographer take their LinkedIn photo! Some lucky students attended the Company Lunch and could ask the attending companies everything they wanted to know.

Workshops

There were a lot of inspiring and informative workshops, for example, the workshop about freelance journalism by Judith Laanen of NRC/VICE, and the workshop ‘Working for the EU’. In this workshop the students learned which route they should take when they would decide to work for the EU. Social media, enterprising, internships and studying abroad were also topics of workshops.

The day ended with a very lively reception, where the students could also pick up their checked CV at the Student Career Service.

Did you miss the event this year or would you like to attend the event again next year? Write down Thursday the 7th of April in your agenda. This day happens to be free of classes next year.
